Freda has been a private client lawyer for more than 10 years and she has broad and extensive experience with respect to private client work covering family, estate planning and trust set up, tax, probate and estate disputes for her Hong Kong as well as overseas clients.  Freda also advises professional trustees and family offices with respect to trust administration.

Prior to joining Vivien Teu & Co LLP, Freda was a Special Counsel at a leading family practice of a UK firm and part of that firm’s International Probate Team.  Freda’s invaluable experience in dealing with post death issues such as probate and estate administration has made her a unique private client lawyer when it comes to will drafting in particular clients with cross border interests and assets.

Freda is keen in philanthropy work and she extends her practice in giving pro bono service to charitable institutions, advising them on legacy giving initiatives. Freda also helps clients to set up charitable companies.

She is also a regular speaker for events hosted by private banks and institutions in Hong Kong and Malaysia.

During her spare time, Freda enjoys reading and listening to music.  She is also passionate to work with young lawyers and her colleagues to develop interest group outside work.

Freda was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2005.  She speaks fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Malay, Hokkien, and Teochew.
